Work Hard, Play Hard!!

Hard work is a description of something or someone that is diligent in working and that puts effort into doing and completing tasks at hand. It's putting your heart into the task and giving it 100% of your effort by going the extra mile, without using shortcuts, slacking, or cheating. "Work hard, play hard" is a motto used by many individuals and organizations. This motto simply means that if a person puts as much effort as they can into their assignment, they will be rewarded with optional free time in the end.
Hard work is the key to success, so work diligently on any project you undertake. If you truly want to be successful, be prepared to give up your leisure time and work past 5 PM and on weekends. Also, have faith in yourself. If you come up with a new idea that you believe in, don't allow other people to discourage you from pursuing it. -Charles Lazarus

A bit of rambling

Hello to everyone in my English class! As everyone else is, I'm going to start off with writing a little bit about myself. My name is Katie and my family is here from Ada, Oklahoma. I've lived in Cali most of my life, but see Ada as my second home. Though my skin is fairly white in color, I am actually almost half Cherokee Indian. For the time being I am a part time waitress at The Old Spaghetti Factory, and a college student at CHC until I receive my degree in Special Education. Outside of work and school I enjoy spending my time painting, drawing, writing, reading, and partying occasionally. As for hobbies outside of the house, I love just about anything active. Lately I have gotten very interested in learning how to snowboard and rock climb. After I'm finished with the active sports, I usually rely on yoga to keep me at balance. I would say that yoga is my # 1 hobby and interest.
I suppose that's all I can explain for now; oh! I have a big birthday coming up in two weeks, yes the big 21! Which I will of course be spending in Vegas!  (= see you in class!
